Turner Hodges

We congratulate Turner Hodges who nominated this year's parade theme "Being Grateful for Our Nation is Cause for Celebration!" 9 year-old Turner, who just completed Miss Rhoten's third gradeclass at Kingsville Elementary School, will be an honored participant helping to lead this year's parade.

Turner lives in Kingsville with his 15 year old sister and Mom. His favorite colors are hot green and black, and his favorite animals are cheetahs and polar bears. He is talented at drawing and also enjoys playing video games on his Xbox One.  HIs favorite foods are lasagna and Sushi and his favorite season is summer.  He hopes to be a veternarian when he grows up.

Local Elementary School Student Competition

Early every spring, students from local elementary schools are invited through their schools to submit ideas for the upcoming Parade's theme. The winning student receives a prize and is honored on parade day by riding in a convertible at the head of the parade and by being officially recognized from the reviewing stand and in the Parade Book.

Please contact the Parade Chairperson if your child wants to participate in next year's competition but hasn't received information from their school.
